Assistant Producer for Table Top games
As part of the Reading Fringe Festival’s 10th Anniversary, we are looking for an Assistant Producer to oversee delivery of a weekend of interactive tabletop games, designed by TimeTrap Escape Rooms.
Reading Fringe Festival, TimeTrap Escape Rooms and Reading BID present this collection of 10 escape room-style challenges hidden within 10 popular locations throughout Britain’s biggest (and best) town, as the Fringe returns in-person for the first time in three years.

Responsibilities
Preparation & Delivery
- Assist in selection of venues with Festival producer
- Match games to venues / Saturday/ Sunday
- Manage venues’ expectations around space/footfall (with the support of BID manager)
- First point of contact for venues
- First point of contact for Time Trap
- Event management plan
Steward recruitment & Management
- Hire, train and manage team of paid games stewards
- Manage communications with stewards
- Administration of timesheets and invoicing with support of Festival Finance Manager
- Managing budget with support of Festival Producer
On the day
- Event Management on the day
- First point of contact for games stewards/venues
- Resolve any issues referring up to Festival producer where necessary
Ongoing
- Provide regular updates to RFF committee meetings
- Timely communication with Festival marketing manager regarding recruitment and games schedule / programme
Start date: July 2022
Must be available to work on 29th and 30th October, plus training session(s)

About the Reading Fringe Festival
Reading Fringe Festival has been bringing the best in cabaret, children’s shows, comedy, dance, exhibitions, film, music, spoken word, theatre and much more to the town (Britain’s biggest) since 2013, as well as to the world at large with Reading Fringe Digital in 2020. After taking a pause in 2021 the festival returns this autumn.
