Today, host and comic Preet Singh will be joined by:

Emily J Rooney and Luke Mosley (Full Table Productions)

Emily Jane Rooney is a writer, stand up comedian and poet. Coming to the festival this year, her debut one-woman show Big Girl is a mixture of all things Emily. Through spoken word and anecdotal comedy, Emily shares stories of her life and what it was truly like growing up as a fat, working class, queer woman… from Essex.

Luke Mosley is a South West-based producer and production manager. Lukeis one of the team bringing Big Girl by Emily Jane Rooney to this year’s Reading Fringe Festival. Having programmed a 2020 UK tour, Luke knows how passion and resilience are necessary to make a show digital during COVID-19.

Full Table Productions is presenting their one woman show Big Girl during the Festival.

Eleanor Conway

Eleanor brings two live shows to this year’s Festival: You May Recognise Me From Tinder and Walk Of Shame.

José Pedro Fortuna

José was born in Porto, Portugal and he moved to Cardiff in order to study Performing Arts at the University of South Wales (2016-2019). José worked as a professional magician in Portugal for 4 years before moving to Wales. His practice is focused on mixing his background in magic with comedy and theatre.

José brings his silent solo physical comedy and magic show Entrée to this year’s festival.

About the host

Reading born and raised, this year Preet Singh celebrated his two year stand-up comedy anniversary. In that time he has taken his jokes to New York, Berlin and even Basingstoke. Being known for pulling no punches, any topic is up for discussion: race, stereotyping, his third culture upbringing, dating and many more.

Preet is bringing a Festival edition of his new podcast Morality with Preet to the Fringe.

This event was live on 22nd July 2020.
