Where can you visit the country’s only puppet bus on a busy high street, see shadow puppetry at a cinema and, most amazingly of all, somehow make maths fun, not once but twice? That would be Reading Fringe Festival! We’re building on its reputation from bringing the best in theatre, music and comedy from across the UK and Europe to Reading by offering family fun for all ages, from Bring Your Own Baby Comedy and sing-a-long fun to workshops and magic shows.
The stylish Penta Hotel on Oxford Road is the flagship venue for children’s events at this year’s Fringe, including the award-winning Bubbly Bubbles, Seska’s comedy & magic show Quack Quack Bang! and Natalie’s Marvellous Mishmash of Musicals. For those who fancy getting moreinvolved, head to the University of Reading’s Harris Garden for Let’s Interface the Music and Dance or Lavender Place Community Gardens for Into the Wild Family Workshops.
