You might be a performer, a producer, an artist, or a maker. Perhaps you’re a volunteer, a venue manager, or a promoter.

Whoever you are, and whatever your skillset, there’s a chance for you to be part of the 10th year of Reading Fringe Festival!

On this page you’ll learn more about bringing your show to Reading Fringe Festival or volunteering with us. For information on other ways to help out, send us an email via our Contact page to find out how to join in.

ARTISTS

At Reading Fringe Festival we’re celebrating our 10th year in style with a mix of in-person live and digital events. We’re eager to speak with artists who want to showcase their work. We’re looking for new, or touring work and welcome digital live or pre-recorded and a range of in-person artforms.

We offer an open access programme alongside our curated events and we welcome a range of work including childrens, theatre, dance, comedy, visual art, installation, workshops, wellbeing, and everything in-between.

We think that staging your work at Reading Fringe is a great option, with our fee-free approach to open access programming.

That means, you can be part of Reading Fringe Festival by providing a returnable £100 deposit.
In return, you can expect a competitive 65/35 profit-share in your favour at the box office.

For more information, take a look at the Artists Application Form or head over to our FAQs or Contact us.

VOLUNTEERS

As a tiny team of fewer than 10 people, Reading Fringe Festival would not be possible without the commitment, passion, and generosity of our volunteers. We’d love to welcome you to the team. People come to volunteering for lots of reasons: maybe you need a little work experience; you might want to contribute to Reading’s cultural calendar; perhaps you want to meet new people. Whatever your reason, we hope that you’ll consider becoming an essential part of the Reading Fringe Festival Volunteer team.

VOLUNTEER ROLES

Stewards

Our stewards help to make every performance go without a hitch. Reporting to your venue manager, you’d be helping the acts to set up, liaising with venues, selling tickets and chatting to customers.

Tech

If you love operating lighting or sound operation, then we’d love to hear from you! Similarly, if you’re new to tech but want some hands-on experience, then we’re always happy to welcome people who want to shadow or assist.

Promotions

We can never have too many people helping to spread the word – be that people flyering for us, spreading the word on their social media, contacting local businesses etc. If you’re a people person, have a great network, or simply like spending time on social media, get in touch!
